The Beauty of vine snake


The vine snake  are very beautiful snake among other tree snakes. There are three snake of green colour which are found in Mumbai but there are some difference. The snake are Green keel back,Vine snake and third was Bamboo pit viper. The green keel back snake are non venomous. The Bamboo pit viper are venomous snake. The main are Vine snake which are semi venomous snake. If Vine snake bite child then there are chances to some injuries but if these snake bites adult people then there are no chances to any Injuries. These snake was founded in mulund near the periphery of Sanjay Gandhi National Park at yogihills club house. The length was 4.5feet. It’s a amazing snake to see and also very beautiful snake.

The scientific name is Ahaetulla nasuta, common name in Marathi Harantol, in hindi Lata saanp, Leelavan in gujarati.The average length is 3 feet 3 inch and maximum length is 6 feet 7 inch.
The identification is Green long thin body. The unique elongated, pointed head & capable of binocular vision with the help of large golden yellow eyes with a horizontal pupil. The body colour of vine snake varies from bright green to dark green with a bluish tinge & in inside is light green with two white lines.
The vine snakes found in all over india except in the Northwest and munch of the Gangetic basin.  The snake habitat is on bushes & trees in forests, costal areas & paddy fields. Eats small birds, eggs, hatchlings, lizards & frogs. The breeding behaviour is female gives birth to 3 to 23 young ones.
The characteristics are  when these snake disturbed its enlarge our fore-body. Its tends to strike with its mouth wide open. A light brown coloured variant of this species resembles the common brown snake.
